Defend the North 2021 returns to the historic "Grand Old Lady," New Yorker Hotel in the heart of New York City. The New Yorker has a history of hosting influential politicians, celebrities, and sports figures, and entertained in the Terrace Room with the who's who of the Big Band era. Today she returns to her roots, and once again has opened her doors to the FGC!

To be eligible for free venue at Defend the North 2021, please follow the instructions below:
- Reserve a room at the New Yorker Hotel following the previous link above or through here.
- If you're a competitor and once your room has been reserved: log in or sign up onto Smashgg and register for Defend the North 2021. Then email [email protected] your full name, Smashgg username, and reservation number. Within three business days you will receive a reinbursement of the venue fee.
- If you're a spectator and once your room has been reserved: log in or sign up onto EventBrite and purchase a ticket for Defend the North 2021. Then email [email protected] your full name and reservation number.
- At the event, head to the registration desk and present your ID and QR Code and/or email confirmation for your badge.
- Please be advised, if you decide to cancel your reservation you will forfeit the opportunity of free venue.
Directions: Airports to Hotel.
Public transportation is available from all three major NYC airports: Newark (EWR), John F Kennedy (JFK), and LaGuardia (LGA):
- From EWR: Take the air-train to Newark Airport Station. Then transfer to a NJ Transit train to New York Penn Station.
- From JFK: Take the air-train to Jamaica Station. Then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train and stop at 34th Street Penn Station.
- From LGA: Take the Q70 Select Bus Service (SBS) Bus to Jackson Heights–Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street (guests coming from Terminal A must take the Q47 SBS Bus instead). Then take an E train to 34th Street Penn Station.
